A Father's Commentary is one father's attempt to train up his children in the way they should go, so when they are older they will not depart from it (Proverbs 22:6). In a time in history when the concept of absolute truth is debated, the standard by which everything must be measured still remains God's holy, inerrant, and infallible Word. Yet, many struggle to know how to study God's Word. A Father's Commentary was written as a guide for fathers and families to read and think through the Scriptures in a way that leads to adoration of God and application of His Word in their daily lives.

I am a Christian. I am a Husband. I am a Father.

I wrote this book so fathers could show their children how to read God’s Word, to pray and apply God’s Word, and then live and act accordingly. As fathers teach their children, I pray this book offers godly advice for fathers to show their children how to walk in a godly way, the way that they should go so, when they are old they will not depart from it.

It is my prayer that this book be a catalyst to reading, studying, and praying God’s Word in your life. I pray it be a small model for fathers to lead devotions with their families, and to help them instruct their children in the way they should go. My hope is that God will use this book in whatever way He will, for His glory and the good of His people.
