Luke 12:28

But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!

  1. What a glorious promise and grace. For the Lord Himself not only tells us to not be anxious but to look to the providence of God in all His creation to remind us of His goodness.

  2. For is God bound to make all flowers beautiful? Is He obligated to make the flower petals bloom and flourish on the hills? Is our God forced to allow us to know beauty and to recognize and enjoy it? Not at all! Yet in His goodness and grace, He has allowed us to know and see and experience objective beauty—those things He deems beautiful.

  3. Let us study and see the beauty of God and know the Lord cares more about us than the flowers of the field. Let us remind ourselves of the sovereignty of God and rest in His providence. Let us see with hope the beauty of God in and throughout every day as we call upon Him and ask Him to open the eyes of our hearts and give us an understanding of all that is good.

  4. This is all because of the love the Father has lavished upon us. The only reason we are children of the Most High God is because of His great love for us. Let us rest in this; let us flourish in this; let us hope in this, for His glory and our good.

1 John 3:1

Father, You are radiant and beautiful. You know the days before me and the days behind me. You even know the trials and all You have prepared for me this week and in the days and years to come. Guard my heart against nihilism and hopelessness, and help me to run in the assurance of Your grace. Give me wisdom to do Your will and grace to flourish for Your Kingdom. I ask this in Christ’s name. Amen
