Psalm 143:5
I remember the days of old; I meditate on all that you have done; I ponder the work of your hands.
Nothing that occurs in our lives happens without purpose. For all things are ordained by God. There is no such thing as luck, chance, or circumstance, for all are held and orchestrated by the providence of God.
This we must be mindful of, for our carnal minds apart from this application of truth will attempt to wrestle God’s glory from Him. We will seek to take all praise, all glory, all worship from our God and place it on ourselves when we do not think about Him.
Be mindful of all things in accordance with the Lord’s attributes. For as man plans his way, the Lord directs his steps. The Lord is sovereign over all; His goodness never fades; His mercies are new every morning. Great is His faithfulness! Let us look to all of creation and with the Psalmist declare, “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the skies above proclaim His handiwork!”
This does not happen in some circumstances but in every circumstance in all aspects of life. We are to look, to ponder, to act, and to praise the Lord in all things. For our God is in the, and He does whatever He pleases.
Proverbs 16:9, Lamentations 3:23, Psalm 19:1, Psalm 115:3
Father, when I think on Your acts and Your Word and all that you orchestrate and work for Your glory, who is man that You are mindful of him? How little my mind thinks about You and is tempted into unbelief and deism rather than praise. Forgive me, Lord! You give the flower its beauty; You make sure that the sparrow is well fed; You know every hair on my head, and yet so many times I live with my head down rather than lifting my voice in praise! Oh Lord, You are glorious! Place Your Word in my heart, that I may ponder and praise You all my days. In Christ’s name. Amen
